Hello, my name is Lavern Ferril, and I am the founder and owner of Crescent Home Childcare. I bring over 18 years of experience working with children across multiple age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-kindergarten students. This breadth of experience has given me a strong understanding of each stage of early childhood development.

My primary area of expertise—and greatest passion—is Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK). I specialize in preparing children for kindergarten through intentional instruction, structured routines, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences that build confidence and independence.

At Crescent Home Childcare, I have created a nurturing, academically supportive environment that balances loving care with early learning. My approach emphasizes early literacy, language development, social-emotional growth, and school readiness skills. Every child is supported as an individual while being guided with consistency, encouragement, and genuine care.
